“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love” 1 John 4:18, NKJV.
“Then Abimelech said to Abraham, “What did you have in view, that you have done this thing?” And Abraham said, “Because I thought, surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will kill me on account of my wife” Genesis 20:10-11, NKJV.
Fear will say lie when you don’t have to. Fear will start a fight with someone who isn’t against you. Fear will tell you to assume they are talking about you, but no one else is in the room. It will say you can’t do it, when God says look closely, because you are already doing it. In a moment of mistake, it will say you are crazy, when the relationship with Christ you have, the fruit in your life, the blessings, the goodness and favor of God on your life, says you’re okay.
You’ve come too far. You’ve grown too much. You’ve been walking with the Lord too long to let fear fool you now. Get up and keep making faith steps. Love steps that oppose fear. You are who God says you are, and you can do what God says you can do.
Prayer: Father, thank You, Lord, for Your word. Help me to only allow Your perfect love, not fear, to govern my life. devil, I rebuke you! you aren’t fooling me through fear! I’m not falling for it. I will not live by it. Father, I rest in You and Your promises. I will continue to make faith steps. You are with me, and I am Who You say I am. I will do what You say I can do. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
