“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure” Philippians 2:13, NKJV.
Sometimes, as a man, it’s not easy. It’s not easy to make the right decision. It’s not easy to wake up when God tells you to. It’s not easy to keep pressing forward in the face of obstacles, even when the fight is within. But that’s when I am beginning to find those are the moments we take to God in prayer. Take those struggles, in all honesty and brokenness, in all your weakness, take it to God in prayer. If the tears flow, let them. If you cry, you cry. That is the place the Father wants to meet you with grace, truth and wisdom. He steps in with His power and begins to work in us the will and to do His good pleasure.
God isn’t wanting us to depend on Him in the shallow waters. He is calling for dependence in the ocean where you know you He is telling you to swim, but you know, you can’t without Him. It’s not easy because He never said it would be. Yet, He did say through Him, by Him and in Him, you can do all things. Not in your own strength, but His.
Prayer, Father, thank You. Sometimes, it’s not easy. When I feel like I’m in the deep waters, I come to You. I break down and become weak before You. Help me to learn dependence moment by moment, not in my own strength, but Your strength, Jesus. Your grace. Your perseverance. Work in me to will and to do Your good pleasure. I put my own power down, and ask for Yours. Through Christ, I can do it all things. Thank You, Lord! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

I thank God that I’ve learned over the years that growing up is not easy. We must continue to depend and lean on Jesus during our early lives and as we get older, Jesus will keep us safe in his arm through all tribulations through all trials. I’ll hope is build on nothing less than Jesus blood and his righteousness ( (old hymn)
