“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14
All of us have experienced pain. Being open about those things, admitting what happened is fact. But keep it in its proper place. It should not replace the truth of God’s word. Our pain, although real and experienced, is not more powerful than the promise. What happened in the past, it indeed happened. But just like Jesus removed the power of sin, He removes the power of pain.
He removed the sting of it. The chains of it. It happened, but God has promised us victory, and restoration. The truth is God is sovereign and we will see a glorious promised.
Don’t allow pain to negate the truth.
Yes, you went through some pain, but it can’t tell you what to do, where to go, or how to live. All of God’s promises are yes and amen. And we must keep what we’ve been through in it’s proper place. The truth of God is what drives our lives. Jesus, drives our decisions, and is in the driver’s seat. His truth. His word makes us free from it all. We’re healed from it all and redeemed.
Prayer: Father God, I give you all the glory, honor, and praise. Thank you for solidifying who I am in you. Thank you for your truth that’s been decreed over my life. With what I’ve been through and even what I’m going through now, I keep all of it in it’s proper place. It’s not my end. It is not my promise. It will never overcome your promises. Help me to not let any pain outweigh your promises. Help me keep it all in its proper place. I can be open and honest about it, but I already have a home in victory. I might have been in a place of pain, but I don’t stay there. It will never replace what’s true. I love you, and you are my God. You will never fail me. I am seated with Christ in heavenly places, and in a place of victory with you. In Jesus’ name.
