“But He gives us more grace. This is why it says: “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded” James 4:6-8, Berean Standard Bible.
Father God, I concede to you. I concede to your will. I’m not defending my wrong any longer. I’m not defending choices and behaviors that were not directed by you. I humble myself and concede to your correction. I concede to your love, your grace and mercy. I concede to your truth that outlasts any lie. I concede to the help of your Holy Spirit, realizing how desperately I need you. I concede to greater dependance on your word to be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. I concede to your plan and purpose for my life. I will not try to arm wrestle with you anymore. I lose, you win, Father. You win in my heart. You win in my mind. You win in my choices. You win in my life. Father God, I concede to your way and wave the flag of surrender. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord, I trust you
