“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe” Proverbs 18:10 NKJV.
Jehovah Sabaoth, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Shammah, Jehovah Shalom, Jehovah Jireh. These are just some of the names of God. Each one to show a side of Who God is and Who He will be in your life, in your situation, in your moment. Just like your name is personal to you, God has names that are personal to Him also, revealing all Who He is and it will bring you close by faith to that aspect of His unchanging character.
By faith, if you are sick and you need healing to break forth for you, call Him Jehovah Rapha The Lord your Healer. Call Him Jehovah Jireh when you need encouragement to trust Him to provide. When you need Him to fight your battles, call Him the Jehovah Sabaoth the Lord of Hosts. Call Him Jehovah Nissi when you don’t know how He’ll do it, but you need a victory. Reach out to Jehovah Shammah, when you feel weary or alone, and need Him to comfort and carry you through. God is faithful and will be everything you need Him to be.
Prayer: Father, thank You for every name You have revealed to me. Help me to put into practice applying Your name in my moments and in my life. I can call on You and You truly are everything I need. I give You praise for it. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
