He’s dealt bountifully with you.

“Return to your rest, O my soul, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you” Psalm 116:7, NKJV.

The Psalmist said they will sing because the Lord has dealt bountifully with them. Bountiful in Hebrew means to treat someone well or to benefit them. It also means to requite, reward, or repay. It’s simply synonymous with doing good.

The Lord has dealt bountifully with you, and you will see the fruit of that in your life. I have been through some things, but like great and mighty wings, He has been hovering over your life. He watches over His word to perform it. He keeps covenant with those who reverence Him. Being reminded of all He has done is an indicator of what the Lord will always do, and it will help your soul to rest. You don’t have to worry or fret but rejoice. Tell your soul to be at rest. You have a heavenly Father Who watches over you and has dealt bountifully with you.

Prayer: Father, I praise you! I receive your word and I will expect bountifulness in my life. You even repay and defend me. Help my soul not only rest but also be a man who rejoices over you today. All these years, you have dealt bountifully with me, and today will be the same. Thank you, Lord! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
