A Special Prayer for Mothers.

““Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth”” Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭2‬-‭3‬, NKJV‬‬.

Father, we give you all the praise, honor, and glory. You are faithful and good. We thank you for every mother you have used to bring us into this earth. We honor them today. We pray that every mother feels so appreciated, loved, and adored every day, but especially today. We thank every mother for all they do, all they pour out, all of their prayers, countless measures of encouragement, and sacrifice. We pray that they do not have to give out today, but only receive. We pray they receive your abundant joy and peace regarding who they are and that you wonderfully made them. Mother, you are deeply loved. You are appreciated. You are valued and can never be replaced. There’s no one like you, Mom.

We pray for all mothers who have lost their husbands, sons, and daughters. Mothers who are used to receiving that call or visit today, but won’t be, because they are no longer here. Fill their cup. Be their strength. Give them comfort, hope, and a strong peace. We pray you bless them with great affirmation and remind them you have a glorious plan for their lives. We love you. May this be the greatest Mother’s Day ever! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
