“Remember this! He led his people out singing for joy; his chosen people marched, singing their hearts out! He made them a gift of the country they entered, helped them seize the wealth of the nations So they could do everything he told them…” Psalm 105:43-45, Message Bible.
Remember the day you first met Jesus, and you were eternally forgiven. Like Israel, you shouted for joy! Go back to when you didn’t know where the provision would come from, but He provided. Remember the moments you saw God make Himself real to you. Go back to the time you thought there was no possibility that a door would open, but somehow God made a way and favored you.
It’s important to remember.
When you’re going through something, the last thing the enemy wants to see you do is stop and do anything that stirs up hope in God. He doesn’t want to see you do anything that gives you a posture of faith and helps you hold on. Yet, in light of what you face or are pursuing, remember Who is on the throne, Who loves you, and Whose hands you are in.
Prayer: Father, thank you for encouraging me to remember what you have done for me. You saved me and forgave me. I stop and remember You brought me through before. I remember you provided before. No matter what I’m going through, help me think on that Your hand is on my life. You are the same God I serve today. You did it before, and You will do it again. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
