“Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved” Psalms 55:22 NKJV.
When my wife and I travel, we often travel light. We take only what we need, so there is less weight to carry, and we move with ease throughout the airport. It’s a big help when getting through the TSA, and we have no issues boarding our flight. And it simply costs less.
Travel light in life. Only carry what is necessary in life. Only carry what the Lord says is easy and light. The shame from the past, guilt from what you did, unforgiveness rehearsing how they hurt you, fear or even vengefulness lay those burdens down. God didn’t call you, nor did Jesus die for you so you can live like that. Give it all to God to handle.
God has confirmed that He loves you, and that’s all you need. He’s confirmed He is for you and is taking you somewhere you’ve never been. Just as the TSA is a checkpoint, and you have to throw away what can’t go on the flight, you are at a checkpoint in your life, and you have to let it go my brother, or you will miss your flight.
It’s time to let go of the baggage. Be quick to extend forgiveness, forbearance, and love by the Holy Ghost. If you bring any bags with you, bring empty ones. Bring one for all the new experiences, new relationships, and new victories that God is going to do in your life. But beginning today, travel light. Live free.
Prayer: Thank you, Father, for speaking to me today. So many things aren’t worth the freedom Jesus paid for. Sin isn’t worth it. I will be all you called me to be. Right now, I give all the baggage to you. I cast it all to you and receive your rest. I will not allow it to cause me to miss what you have for me. It happened, but I trust you have a plan. I choose a posture of faith. As I move forward, help me not to pick up anything that is not of you. I’m traveling light. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
