A divine life.

“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire” 2 Peter 1:3-4, ESV.

God has given us a divine life. Divine means what proceeds directly from God. It also means supremely good! It is a life filled with what God intended for you when He created you.

Despite what you have gone through, when you give your life to God, He turns it into something supremely good and supplies what comes from Him. He will turn every part of your life into what it is meant to be. He will turn every pain into something divinely used for His glory. He will take your setback and use it as a testimony to divinely prosper you. God will make all things new and better than the first. Don’t settle for anything less. He has given you all the things that pertain to life and godliness.

Be encouraged to do this today: “For this very reason, make every effort to supplement (or add) your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (v. 5-8)

Prayer: Father, I praise you! You can do far more with my life than I can. I want to experience all that You meant life to be. Take this life and do with it what only You can do. You will take every pain and divinely use it for Your glory. Show me my purpose. Show me how to add all things that will make me fruitful in life. I praise You for giving me a divine life! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
