Enjoy your wife again.

“You are all fair, my love, and there is no spot in you. Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon…you have ravished my heart. You have ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; you have ravished my heart with one look of your eyes, with one link of your necklace” Song of Solomon 4:7-9, NKJV.

It shouldn’t be that you enjoyed your wife when you got married, and now you both have not had a good time in years. One thing that maintains a strong marriage is when there is simply time to get away with fun and enjoyment involved. It is good for your soul, good for your body, and good for your marriage. It ministers to your wife’s happiness and refreshes your love for each other.

Even beyond what you’ve been through, let everything go and go on a date, or get away without a plan or schedule. Just be yourselves and befriend each other like you used to. As the man, lead the way. Marriages need watering in this hour like never before. Let your only plan be to have a good time with your spouse. This weekend, go get dressed up again. Laugh again. Enjoy your wife again.

Prayer: Father, thank you for your word. Thank you for this reminder to enjoy my spouse. Help us spark the flame and get back into what drew us together in the first place. Help me not to allow money to delay us. Deal with anything that’s in our way, and let us submit to your will not to allow our lives to be full of work, but full of you, and have an enjoyable marriage with my best friend-my wife. I thank you for helping me enjoy my wife again. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
