Fresh and New

“Jesus replied to them, “I am the Bread of Life. The one who comes to Me will never be hungry, and the one who believes in Me [as Savior] will never be thirsty [for that one will be sustained spiritually]” John 6:35, Amplified.

You can eat stale bread, or you can eat fresh bread. Your Bread of Life is never dry, never spoiled, never old. Jesus and what He means should always be fresh to us. He gave His life so that you could have an abundant one. He gave His life so that you can have not only a last year’s hope, but a right now hope. You have a right now victory. A redemption that is always fresh and new. Because of Jesus, God’s mercies are fresh and new every morning.

May the experiences of Jesus and what He did for you be fresh today. May it not be just another Good Friday about Jesus. As you reverence the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, as you praise and honor God for His goodness, may it be fresh and personal for you.

Father, I thank You today. I give you praise for Your Son giving His life for me. As I look at all that has happened in my life as a result of Jesus being in it, I can’t help but thank You, Lord. You saved me! I have hope and victory. Make my thoughts and meditation fresh and new of the finished work on the cross for me today. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
