“For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize and understand our weaknesses and temptations, but One who has been tempted [knowing exactly how it feels to be human] in every respect as we are, yet without [committing any] sin” Hebrews 4:15, Amplified.
Even when it hurts like hell, fight to stay submitted to God. I’ve given birth to two children naturally without epidural, yet nothing compares to the emotional pain I’ve endured in my life. In the midst of it all, Jesus has helped me stay submitted to Him. Even when I was willing to do anything to make the pain stop, Jesus helped me to submit to Him and His will for me.
No matter how much pain you’re experiencing, know that Jesus dealt with excruciating pain while on the cross. To say He understands you is an understatement. He’s very familiar with both emotional and physical pain. Yet, He stayed submitted to God the Father and endured the cross. He is our example. Take up your cross and follow Him all the way to the end, come what may. He knows the pain you feel and His word for you today is, “Stay submitted to Me.”
Prayer: Oh Father, help me to stay submitted to You and obedient to your will come what may. When I bow, you rise. When I submit to your will, you raise a banner over your life. Thank you for your faithfulness to me and your truth. Love, Your Daughter
